What are you picking up or sorting through these days?
You might remember that song from the old musical Annie. Some days I do feel like Ms. Hannigan, picking up shoes, socks, toys, sippies (how long has THAT been there??!!) and more.
But here’s the thing. I have sock, shoes, toys, and more to clean and sort through. As I cleaned this week (for the third time) the kitchen floor where a whole packet of Fun Dip had been spilled (that stuff is NOT aptly named), trying to get the sticky-sweet feel off the floor, it hit me: I have a floor. I have a house. I have been blessed with so much.
And to whom much is given, much is required.
This week marks the most celebrated week in our faith family/church family: our annual missions conference. We celebrate global and local partners, personnel, and their work. The challenges they face on a daily basis (even locally!!) are unimaginable.
But God.
This week we have the honor of loving on them, praying for them, listening to them, their stories, victories, and heart breaks.
So if you are cleaning your sticky floor {like I am!} join me in the happy dance for the floor and the blessings that surround.

Ah, remembering the days of Fun Dip, and sticky floors. Now, we just clean up where the dog has lapped up her water. What am I grateful for? THIS week, I’m grateful for those who DO go to share the GOOD NEWS, and even though I can’t go, I can be holding the “other end of the rope.” Great word picture…
I absolutely love the missions conference at our church. I look forward to it every year.
I am grateful that I had 3 colic free babies. I went over to visit a new mom last night with a gassy newborn and she was so exhausted from the crying.
