This word makes many women cringe.

Me too. I confess I am not very good at it all the time. Or maybe at all. I sure love and respect my husband though.

In the last month, I have had some different perspective about submission in a study of Love and Respect and Ephesians 5:

The best songs have great backup parts or harmony. A singer leads out, but the harmony or backup makes a song. I recently heard “Safe” by Phil Wickham and heard this beautifully represented. Bart Millard sings harmony on this tune and it makes the whole song.

Girls, could it be that our submission “makes” the whole thing work? What if coming alongside our husband (not being a doormat or slave) and singing support behind him made what would be ordinary…beautiful?

What do you think?
