I met a new friend this week. I walked away with the ‘we might as well go way back’ feeling, but more than that, an overwhelming sense that the Lord orders our steps, even with friends.
I left feeling encouraged, inspired, and affirmed. And here’s the funny thing: no deep conversation, no earth shattering news, no great moments of identification about life experiences or background. Just God.
I think I saw Him smile when I got into my car. I felt His presence, and had that sense that I had no idea what I needed, but He did.
I fought meeting for a week, feeling I didn’t have time. But God is always worth our time, and when we obey, He shows himself to Be.
What seemed reluctant became restorative. That’s how He works. That’s my Jesus.
